Help for Families
For those seeking to resolve a concern between loved ones that is affecting harmony at home.
CAREGIVING
1 out of 4 Canadians are without at family doctor, which has downloaded much of the responsibilities to loved ones as a substitute for formal health care (personal support worker, registered nurse, occupational and physical therapists) that are required when your loved one is experiencing changes in thinking and noticeable decline in ability to complete day-to-day tasks on their own (keeping track of his or her own medications, doctors’ appointments, cleaning at home, organizing appointments).
COUPLES
Approximately half of marriages in Canada end, resulting ultimately in costly divorce or separation. By the time that a counsellor or mediator is involved, there have typically been challenges building for months or years. However, with willing participants who are motivated to make changes with the support of a professional, there is opportunity for resolution.
RETIREMENT
The transition from full time work to retirement can be a challenge for individuals who have been embedded in their organizations and cultures for decades. While most often planned, this transition can bring unexpected distress. Lack of activities outside work, and an identity that is built on her or his professional title in the field can be a catalyst for depression and relationship conflict at home. For retirees and future retirees who are ready to take action to improve their situation, a professional like you can help.
RECENT HEALTH DIAGNOSIS
Unexpected news of a chronic condition including cancer, fibromyalgia, or other types of chronic pain and discomfort can trigger overwhelming fear of the future. Clients benefit from the expertise of a professional like you so they can take control of their symptoms and find peace despite the challenging circumstances.
“I appreciated the variety in the daily recommendations for me as a family caregiver, because my life can become routine and monotonous. The suggestions provided were creative, new, refreshing. Through Workhorse Family, Meagan helped me redefine my boundaries; she was open to understanding my pain and suffering in my current caregiving situation; and shaping me into becoming stronger and more grounded. Thank you.”
